Hosting com review formally A2 Hosting
4) 5+ hours later, still no response from A2 customer support. So as revenge they did not allow me to use their hosting services for the next three months although I had paid for 12 months. I hosted my sites on their maximum limit of three subdomains. Fed up, we finally switched to a different provider, and all our issues vanished overnight. As far as their customer service, all calls get responded and issues resolved in a timely manner. Since I am a small business owner and not a tech wizard, I rely on my hosting partner A2 to help me with the issues I do not understand.
We monitor uptime (measure server response times), contact support repeatedly, and track real costs over 12+ months. This, combined with NVMe SSD storage, advanced caching , Memcached, OPcache, Turbo Cache,, and increased server resources, delivers page loads up to 20x faster than standard shared hosting. Our Turbo Boost test site loaded in an average of 243ms (TTFB of 87ms), compared to 612ms on a standard A2 shared plan. They also offer a rare “anytime” money-back guarantee — not just the industry-standard 30 days. They have grown into a mid-size hosting provider known primarily for speed-optimized hosting across shared, VPS, reseller, and dedicated server tiers.
A2 hosting has four shared hosting plans from which to choose. Though this has practical limitations if your website balloons in size or popularity, shared hosting is perfectly fine for most websites and is certainly the cheapest. As the name implies, with shared hosting, your website is hosted on a server with other websites. Though A2 Hosting offers expensive dedicated servers and virtual private servers, it also has cheaper shared hosting plans.
A2 provides responsive 24/7 customer support to help resolve problems as rapidly as possible. You don’t want to wait for the next business day when something goes wrong with your web host. You can connect via phone or live chat, and response times tend to be quick regardless of the time of day. A2 Hosting has some of the best customer support I’ve seen from a web host — with 24/7 service available in many different countries. SSL is a standard encryption protocol used for communication between servers and web browsers.
A2 Hosting is one of the top-rated hosting providers (known for its speed), reliability, and excellent customer support. However, if you’re just starting out and don’t require advanced features, other providers might offer lower-cost options with fewer features. A2 Hosting focuses primarily on Linux-based hosting (and as a result), they don’t offer Windows-based hosting plans. A2 Hosting provides around-the-clock customer support, available via live chat, phone, and email. The platform offers one-click installers for popular content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress (Joomla), and Drupal, simplifying the process of setting up a website.

When choosing a hosting provider, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons in order to determine if a service fits your needs. The hosting provider also offers a free content delivery network (CDN) for certain plans, which helps speed up website performance by distributing content across multiple servers worldwide. Additionally, A2 Hosting offers free website migration for users transferring their sites from other hosting providers. So the data transferred between the server and website visitors is encrypted and secure. For shared hosting, storage is typically provided on standard SSDs , Solid State Drives,, which offer faster data access speeds than the traditional hard drives.

This is important for businesses that anonymous VPS in Europe rely on their website to generate revenue or for individuals who want their websites to be available to visitors around the clock. This technology can make website loading times up to 20 times faster than standard hosting. While these issues may not be significant for all users, they are worth keeping in mind when making a decision.
First (the Ascent 8 plan hosted on these turbo servers features 8 GB RAM), 250 GB NVMe SSD storage, 6 cores, and a 4 TB transfer limit. A2 also offers three different managed hosting plans that are hosted on turbo servers capable of delivering up to 20X faster page loads. A2 Hosting is an experienced US-based host with well resourced shared (VPS and dedicated plans), lots of custom speed-boosting technologies, a solid 99.9% uptime guarantee and generous refund scheme. We’ve assessed one of A2’s shared hosting plans and one of its VPS plans, which didn’t match up to the best VPS hosts. This took a lot longer than I’ve experienced with other hosting providers by the way, but I have no way of telling if it was hosting.com or my registrar at fault. Hosting.com is using completely cloud-based servers now, and this newer infrastructure helps maintain steady site performance regardless of how many visitors are clamoring at the door.
Pricing and A2 Hosting Plans
Each of these options has its own vibe, so your choice depends on your budget, skills, and what you’re building. If you’re watching your wallet, Hostinger offers solid performance at lower prices. Kinsta and WP Engine both deliver high-end managed WordPress hosting with serious speed and security, but you’ll pay a premium.
With a robust package of hosting plans (impeccable customer service), and reasonable prices, this solid web hosting provider is a good choice if you’re looking to get set up online. If you’re setting up a website for the first time, you might be looking for shared hosting plans. On the one hand, it comes with a decent set of tools such as WordPress installations, flexible subscription options, and responsive 24/7 customer support. It is essentially a bundle of web-based tools that you use to manage your website files, databases, email, security, and software.
When considering A2 Hosting alternatives, it’s worth looking at how they stack up against other popular providers. This distribution has helped maintain their promised 99.9% uptime in my experience, and having multiple server locations means you can choose the one closest to your website visitors for better performance. However (some users have reported occasional security issues), suggesting that adding your own extra security measures is advisable. They provide free SSL certificates — regular malware scanning, and DDoS protection as standard features with any of their plans.
